nature(.c)ode

The interactive installation nature(.c)ode explores a possible coexistence of nature and technology through touch and sound.

The audience are invited to play with wooden structures and live plants that change the musical composition and light design in response to human movements and touch. By taking them on this sensory jounrey, this piece offers the audience an opportunity to test how their responses to technology change when organic textures replace the synthetic materials that have come to surround us.

Presented by the Theater Program and the Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi as part of the Theater Capstone Showcase 2019. The installation went on to be presented at the Interactive Media Program’s End of Year Showcase, and was exceptionally accepted to be a part of the Group Thesis Show of the Visual Arts Program as well.
